Studying DNA...

Ok…today is the day. I am going to get all of our school curriculum picked out for each child. I have been putting this off for some time now but I can’t do that any longer! I need to get everything picked out so I can make my skeleton calendar for the school year…this may be my least favorite part of homeschooling. I probably should be an “unschooler”!

Anyway, the only thing I have lined up so far is Nik’s science curriculum. It’s general science so we’ll be going over the Scientific Method, a brief history of the study of science, the human body and DNA. I’m looking forward to the human body and DNA section because Pete will be able to teach some of that! I hope we can do some kind of CSI type of experiment or maybe even visit a crime lab…I know, I know, DNA is used in so many other fields….like research….but crime labs are cool! Lol!!

As for the other two kiddos, I have nothing lined up yet. So needless to say, I’ve got quite a bit of work cut out for me tonight….I WILL get this done! Lol!!
