Ok...I'm going to use Easy Grammar for Jake's grammar this coming year. I already have a copy of the book but I was checking out the website and I've discovered that there is a NEW book....sigh....I hate that, I really do! I have a problem when I know that I am using an older edition...which in all honesty works fine. Grammar is grammar you know...you still capitalize proper nouns and you still have to use the proper form of helping verbs..blah. blahblah, blahblah...It's just that I feel like I'm missing out on something if I don't have the latest edition....ughh....why am I such a curriculum snob??
Btw, Jake will be doing 6th grade grammar not 4th grade...I just liked the pink book!

Don't wanna know if it's amazing!! I JUST last night orderd the complete Sonlight curriculum, this is our first year. He'll be in fourth grade, and I'm excited. But curriculum, psh, it made my head spin!!!
Man, it's that time of year again, isn't it? I've been trying to pull together my curricula. We use a variety of sources -- some KONOS, some Time4Learning.com, some A Bekka and some BJU materials. Trying to put it all together in a format that I know works with my son's learning style (and to which I can commit diligently) eats up most of my summer!
Mine's only 7 (doing a mixture of 2nd and 3rd grade). I can't imagine how much more difficult it's going to be planning lessons when he gets to be your son's age!
How do you decided what to use? I am really leaning towards homeschooling Nick. I've been looking around online and there are so many choices.
