Scrubs...What You Wear Not the TV Show!

When Gus spent almost six months in the NICU, I saw a lot of different kinds of scrubs. Since the nurses were working with children, they were allowed to wear bright and colorful printed scrub tops. In all honesty, these patterned scrubs really helped to take away the hospital feel.

I know that hospitals want to maintain a level of professionalism and they do this by requiring nurses and techs to wear certain Medical Uniforms. I truly think though, that the patient is affected in a positive way by what the nurses are wearing. I’m not saying that you are a bad nurse if you wear the basic scrubs. I am saying that the color and pattern can bring some cheer to the patient!

I totally agree with you on this. Especially when working with children, I think the scrubs should be more "fun"
