Obliged to Go

Today, we started reading Obliged to Go by Janet and Geoff Benge which is the story of William Carey, a missionary to India. Here are some new things we learned:

flitting...moving from one house to another. We have only flitted twice!
tammy...this is the woven fabric that William's parents would make and sell.
St. James the Great Church, Paulerspury...where William's dad took a postion as the Clerk and Schoolmaster

thatching...as in the thatching for a cottage roof. I want a cottage!! lol!

Leicester Sheep..the sheep breed that William tended. Awwww....

More to come....

This seems so neat. I have a newfound interest in India, especially what their beliefs are, etc. Our church is doing a month-long study on Wednesday nights on the religions of India and what they believe so that we know when we are talking to them how their religion differs from Christianity. This is very helpful in my current workplace / mission field. I hope you post more on what you all learn!

Always make sure that you have a shower at least once a day and put on some clear, dried up clothing. It is vital that you stick to higher clean standards to avoid candida albicans. Candida grows in wet and unhygienic surroundings, which makes it vital that you acquire more safeguards to keep nice and clean. Heukuk8ily
