Look what I caught Jake doing! Those of you who have been visiting us for awhile know that Jake hates to read so when I saw this happening I was so pleased! Reading takes you soooo many places and I really want Jake to experience the joy of reading a good book. We're still working on this but I think this photo certainly shows movement in the right direction!

I was reading your blog and just wanted to say that I too have a child that is chronically ill.....three in fact. My boys all have Alagille Syndrome, an inherited genetic disorder that effects their livers and hearts. Each day is a gift and I try not to think too far ahead.

I have a hard time getting my kids to read also. I am an avid reader but it didn't pass on to my children unfortunately! Thanks for the nice comment you left on my blog yesterday!
