Sign Langauge and Blogging

I found this over at High Strangeness Altoona and I mashed it to share here.

Most of you know that our youngest son Gus was profoundly deaf due to the major doses of gentamicin he was given during his first three months after he was born. He needed to gentamicin or he would have died...he was septic and needed the hard-care stuff. Anyway, when we found out that Gus was profoundly deaf, we decided to learn ASL and begin using it with him immediately. I had fun learning ASL and I still have a strong desire to learn more...I think it's a beautifully expressive language!
