In Need of New Faucets

I was going to take photos of all my faucets around the house, but when I started actually taking the photos, I realized how extremely sorry they all looked. I wanted to show you all why new faucets would make me really, really happy. Now, I’m just completely sad because seeing these faucets through my camera is just flat depressing. Obviously, I need some new faucets…you all will never ever know though because I would rather eat dirt than show you my horrible faucets! Lol!!

So here are some Moen faucets I’ve picked out:

For my kitchen:

I would love to have one of those neat pot filler faucets but I have no where to mount that since our sink is right ion front of a window. They are really neat though…I saw one on HGTV last week and thought it was a brilliant idea. I had no idea they were readily available. I thought they were unique creatures that had to be special ordered! Lol!! I’m so behind the times aren’t I? lol!!

For my bathrooms:

Don’t you love those frosted handles?? I wonder if they would get nicked though…hmmmm, maybe I’ll have to rethink those. Nonetheless, I love the look of them and I think they’d go great in both of my bathrooms. Of course, I’d have to have matching faucets for the the bathtubs….but I’m gonna have to save that for another time!

Now, can someone tell me how to protect these things from three children we fondly call “The Destroyers”????

Furniture Shopping...Still

So, you know that I’ve been shopping for a couch for our den since the boys have completely broken it down. I really like the recliner seating like in home theaters but I’m starting to think that would not be the best choice. I think something like this sectional would be a better choice for Living Room furniture. I don’t know though…this is such a tough decision. I need to do some measuring...

Lately, I have been doing some shopping at Furniture From Home. I think the prices are really good and I love that they have free shipping! I also like that the site shows several different photos of the different pieces of furniture. It’s very easy to navigate…and did I tell you that the prices are great?!

After I replace the couch, I’m going to head over to the furniture home office section to look for a computer desk and a chair. I really need a good chair so I can blog in comfort!! After that, I’m going to check out the bedroom furniture for my bedroom….it’s so time for a bedroom makeover!

Neat Frames!

Have you all seen this really neat way to show your digital photos??

I usually send my photos to Walgreens to be printed so I can put them into scrapbooks. In all honesty, this can become really expensive for me because I take a lot of pictures. So when I saw these digital photo frames I wanted to know more!

Apparently these digital photo frames are super easy to use. All you have to do is take your photos and insert your memory card into the digital photo frames. After that, all you do is grab the remote and play your slide shows. You can even add music to the background of the slide shows. The speakers are already built in so you don’t have to purchase a set in order to play the music. If you get tired of displaying your slide shows then you can watch video clips that you have taken with your digital camera. All digital photo frames are compatible with JPEG, MP4, DivX, AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, MP3, WMA, and WAV formats.

These digital photo frames are available in four different sizes…7”, 8”, 9” and 10”. Transferring your photos from your computer is really easy with the USB port. You may also download two different picture resizing tools at the site.

I think I would like this digital photo frame with the wooden frame. I would love to use one of these in my Kindergarten Science class I’m teaching this fall…it would be great to be able to run a slide show of some of the animals we will be studying! Neat!

Low Maintenance Blinds

We have always had cheap, inexpensive blinds on our windows. A couple of months ago, we were given four high-quality blinds. What a treat! These blinds are just so nice and really add a lot of style to our rooms.

Our blinds are similar to the roller blinds that you can find at Terry’s Fabrics. What I like best about roller blinds is that they are low maintenance…this means no more cleaning individual slats!! All you do is wipe down the blinds with a damp sponge. Think of the cleaning time you will save!

There are many different styles of roller blind available in prints, solids, bordered print and suede fabrics. And of course, when you add some decorative trim to your blinds, you have even more stylish window treatments. Personally, I love the Urban Roller Blind in Blue…very modern!

If roller blinds are not your style, several other types of blinds are available such as Roman blinds, Venetian blinds, Vertical Blinds and more!
