Bloggy Giveaway Carnival

Ya'll do know it's time for the quarterly Bloggy Giveaway Carnival, right? I plan on spending a good chunk of my morning doing nothing but signing up for giveaways! I've poured the cereal out on the table, filled up the water bowl...the kids should be good for awhile!! lol!!

Hazel Wood Children Giveaway

Well, actually that post title sounds like someone's giving away the Hazel Wood Children! lol!! That's not the case at all though I would gladly take any child that was being "given away"!

I love aprons! I've got one that I use all the time but it's the super chef kind...makes me feel like I'm a real cook! lol!! I would love to have one of these pretty aprons though...I just love all the different fabrics and color combos that people are using in these....just really neat!

Ohhhh...How much fun this is going to be!! Laura is giving away an autographed copy of I Can't See,...But I Can Still Imagine by Patricia Bennett Wilson. It's a book about a blind grandmother who shares adventures with her granddaughter. I love stories like this...ones that show people overcoming so-called "obstacles"!

As I was out and about visiting blogs the other day, I came across a neat contest. Blogging with Cents is hosting a Fill in the Blanks contest which ends on September 30th....so you have to hurry to enter!

Commercials

What’s your favorite commercial right now? I usually can think of one, but I’m drawing a complete blank…really, I can’t think of a single one that just cracks me up! So where are all the good commercials?? I think they are in the minds of people like us who create all these kooky videos to place on our blogs or websites!

Now, instead of just letting all those cool “commercials” hang out on our blogs, we need to head on over to Black Turtle Media and upload them. Really, because Black Turtle Media wants your work!!! And did I mention that Black Turtle Media is hosting a contest where the winner receives $5000?! Right now, they are wanting video commercials about the iPhone, Halo 3 or Decision 2008. I have an iPhone “commercial” that I was never able to upload where I wanted to so I think I’ll head over and upload it for the contest!

I’ve watched several and they really are funny….some are just so-so and then there are some that are just sad! Lol!! Nonetheless, it’s fun to watch and then vote!

How completely cool! I won this week's book giveaway at Deena's! I'll be receiving Veil of Fire by Marlo Schalesky and this sounds like a great book. I can't wait to get it in the mail. This is one of the books that will kick off Cook's Communications "Sizzling Summer of Fiction" reading campaign! That sounds neat too! There is also a book group guide so maybe I need to invite a few friends to read this along with me! Sounds like fun!
