Come on....I dare you to tell me that this squirrel photo doesn't make you smile really big! If I ever get a chance to take care of a domesticated squirrely squirrel I am so going to take it. We used to go over to the VA Hospital across from ETSU to feed the ducks...I had a friend who would feed the squirrels. Those little critters would come right up to him and eat from his hand...I was so jealous. Maybe one day I can have that "power" over the squirrelys!

Hamster in a Mug

Yesterday was "Clean out the Stinkin' Hamster and Gerbil Cages Before I Gag and Die Day". I stuck Hyacinth Hamster in a mug so I could dump all of the bedding in the trash. I wasn't sure she was going to stay put but she did! I looked over at her and there she was...just sitting there watching me! Is that not the sweetest little thing ever?! I love her!!!

Hyacinth Washing Her Face...

Remember a few weeks ago when we bathed Hyacinth, the hamster? Well, I forgot that I had captured this video of her washing her face....and me sounding so very country-bumpkin!


Some of you have asked if Hyacinth is still alive...yes, she is! She blogged with me just the other night...she likes to sit on my shoulder while I'm on the computer!! Neat!

Spy Squirrels Arrested

Did you hear that 14 spy squirrels were arrested by the Iranians? Apparently these cute little critters were carrying spy gear over into Iran. All 14 were arrested for espionage. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find out anything more about the prisoners...I hope they were set free!
