Crochet Crop Cardigan

Monica Brown has the neatest little crochet crop cardigan pattern that is being shared...for free! This cardigan is so fun and I'm sure, sure, sure I can make it since I've become a pro crocheter (lol!). I won't be making it for myself though 'cause I'm too chunky. Maybe this could be an incentive for me to drop some pounds....hmmmm...maybe. It is really neat...post signature

I'm Going to Crochet All Night Long....

Well...let's say way into the night! I have had a down kind of day and I think what I need is some crochet therapy. I want to watch a good movie and sit and crochet....I'm going to work on my Ripple Afghan and my Share a Squares for Shelly and that's all I'm going to do....really...nothing else...not even break up fights!

Oh, crapacita....I did say I was going to pick out curriculum tonight...sigh...ok, I'm changing my mind....I'll pick curriculum tomorrow....now where's my hook???

Share A Square!

Ok gang! Yesterday I was visiting Shelly over at This Eclectic Life and I saw that she is heading up a project to create 140 afghans for Camp Sanguinity which is a camp for kids with cancer.

The pattern Shelly has chosen is quite easy...if you know how to chain and double crochet you can do this! I am going to have a few people over so we can work on these squares together and share all of our yarn scraps. I hope we can put together a huge box for Shelly!!

Once my camera battery is recharged, I'll post my squares that I've made so far. I've been trying to squeeze in my chores between crocheting but it is really hard...it's so addicting! lol!!post signature

Speaking of Plastic Bags

I am going to be adding this

Plastic bags consumed this year:

to my sidebar because I feel like there are way too many plastic bags out there. I love all the ideas for re-using and recycling these bags...for example:

Tote Bag
Necklace
Rugs

But this is my favorite!! I think I'll be making some of these for my shopping trips. Neat!

You can get your plastic bag counter over at Reusable Bags.
